Neurological Physiotherapy – Our Locations

Neurological Physiotherapy is a leading practice providing treatment and services across the North West for adults and children with neurological conditions and complex presentations. We provide a wide range of treatments and services at our clinic, rehabilitation centres, Dystlegh Grange Retirement Living and Care. We now offer Virtual/ Remote consultations and exercise classes.

Oak House Clinic- Cheadle

At Neurological Physiotherapy (NP) we offer one to one outpatient therapy in our clinic in the centre of Cheadle village. Our therapists also provide therapy in the community, within patients’ homes. Over the past five years we have developed specialist exercise classes as an adjunct to our therapy service. Both outpatient therapy and exercise classes can be accessed privately or through the NHS via the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Service (conditions apply).

We work with case managers and deputies providing long term rehabilitation to case-managed patients. We also treat patients with an approved Individual Funding Request (IFR) from around the country.

Whilst attending the clinic, patients are assigned a named physiotherapist, who specialises in their condition. Our therapists will work closely with the patient and their family to identify goals. Hands on treatment, plus bespoke and personalised exercise programmes will be provided to encourage progress between sessions.

All patients are assessed holistically, and your therapist can refer to any appropriate services e.g. orthotics, personal trainers, dietitians, hydrotherapy.

Our clinic is completely accessible for patients in wheelchairs and we have a private car park for patients’ use.

Rehabilitation Units

Bases in Chester, Liverpool and Southport

We offer patient-centred physiotherapy services to three purpose-built specialist nursing led units, providing long term individualised rehabilitation support. Within this setting we work as an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team, to ensure that all patients’ individual needs and potential are met. We work in individual therapy sessions, exercise classes, collaborative sessions with the wider MDT, hydrotherapy, support to community leisure centres (gyms and swimming pools). We work directly with rehabilitation support workers, nursing care staff and family and friends to ensure wrap around 24 hours of therapeutic care.

Virtual/ Remote Consultations And Exercise Classes

Since the COVID 19 pandemic, we are now offering virtual/remote consultations as an alternative to face to face and hands on treatment.
These include video consultations using Skype, FaceTime and Microsoft Teams as well as telephone consultations.
